The word that best describes Belgrade is "surprising". Not many people know this city, but it enchants everyone with its history, its gastronomy, the beauty of the meeting of the Sava and Danube rivers seen from the medieval fortress of Belgrade, and mostly with its positive energy and the hospitality of the people who inhabit it. The former capital and largest city of the former Yugoslavia, the current capital of Serbia is one of the oldest cities in Europe and holds a series of secrets that can only be revealed by those who visit it. Come and get ready for one of the most authentic trips of your life!

On this tour we visit the main attractions of the center of Belgrade: the Republic Square, the pedestrian street Knez Mihailova and the fortress of Belgrade.

DAY 2 | BELGRADE

We will guide you trough Yugoslavia in what is considered to be a relic of the past - vintage Yugoslavian cars! The fleet has Yugos, Yugo Cabrios (very rare!), Zastava 750s and Zastava 101s. Some of them are up to 40+ years old but none of them look their age. The nostalgia game is very strong with these cars and we will tell you about their history and why people are so attached to these guys even today. This is an experience you will definitely remember!

DAY 3 | SUBOTICA AND PALIĆ

Architectural pearls in art nouveau style, a relaxed people and a mix of Serbian and Hungarian flavors make this tree-lined city - the second largest in the Vojvodina region - a worthy day trip. Once an important and rich center of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Subotica attracted some of the region's most influential architects and artists. Their legacy is very well preserved and is today the biggest business card in the city. It is also one of the most multicultural cities in Serbia, with more Hungarians than Serbs and a sizable population of Croats.

Due to its location, size and ornate architecture in Hungarian Art Nouveau, the City Hall building has become a landmark and symbol of Subotica. Built between 1908 and 1910, it has a 76m high viewpoint and an unforgettable view of Subotica and its surroundings. The Grand Hall has sixteen notable stained glass windows in sparkling colors by Miksa Róth and Sándor Nagy, all considered exceptional works of art.

The Zvonko Bogdan Winery is one of the most beautiful and modern wineries in Europe, located in the famous fruit and wine growing area around Lake Palic and Ludaš. Its owner, Zvonko Bogdan, is one of Serbia's most famous musicians. The winery is equipped with modern technology to produce high quality wines exclusively from grapes from its own vineyard. Two of his wines won a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London in 2019, beating 160,000 wines from around the world.


15h30 – 17h00 Time to explore the Palić lake

The tourist town of Palić, 8 km away from Subotica, is home to a 5 km² lake, popular with sailors, fishermen and those who enjoy strolling. The park is graced with villas, restaurants and beautiful examples of Hungarian art nouveau, including the 1912 Grand Terrace, the mushroom-shaped water tower and the wooden folk Lido. There is a 3 km birdwatching trail, plus bicycle and boat rentals.

DAY 4 | ZLATIBOR

Zlatibor is the most visited mountain in Serbia and the gateway to the incredible nature of the western region of the country. Located in a "wind rose", Zlatibor is a natural spa with its special microclimate. It is no wonder that on this mountain there are several hospitals that treat lung diseases. Tourism here began to develop in 1893, when Serbian king Aleksandar Obrenović spent a few days on the mountain and erected a fountain. Today, Zlatibor offers visitors a range of attractions and activities ranging from horseback riding, visits to caves and museums to skiing in one of Serbia's best ski centers!


12h30 – 13h30 Visit the Stopica cave

The Stopića cave, on the left bank of the Prištavica river, is one of the biggest tourist attractions in western Serbia. The cave entrance is 18 meters high and 35 meters wide. It is a river cave, as the Trnavski stream flows through it. Its main attraction is an underground waterfall 10 meters high. It has incredible natural pools inside, some of which are up to 7 meters deep.

At the heart of the Zlatibor mountain, surrounded by pine trees and hills, away from the crowds, lies Sirogojno - an authentic mountain village in Serbia, where visitors can see, feel and taste the past. In its open-air museum, we can enter original mountain houses dating from the 19th century. In the restaurant, mountain specialties are prepared following ancient recipes

DAY 5 | SOPOTNICA

Sopotnica is a small village located over 1.000 meters above sea level on the Jadovnik mountain, where bubbling springs and beautiful waterfalls create a unique environment surrounded by breathtaking views and rustic rural architecture. It's a great place for revitalizing hikes in the nature, drinking fresh clean water and having a special picnic or barbecue with an amazing mountain view.

13h30 – 16h00 Travel to Žabljak (Montenegro)

16h00 – 18h00 Hike around the Black Lake in the Durmitor National Park

The Black Lake (or Crno jezero) is a stunning glacial lake surrounded by a pine forest, which casts a perfect reflection in the mirror-like surface of the lake. The snowcapped Medjed mountain peak, rising to a height of 2287m, provides the perfect backdrop to the spectacular scenery.There is a 3.5km trail that runs around the lake and which should take 1.5hrs to walk around. The Black Lake is wild Montenegro at its best!

DAY 6 | LOVĆEN AND BUDVA

A major attraction on the Riviera of Budva is Sveti Stefan. The former fishing village on a peninsula became a hotel city 50 years ago and this is how a wonderful place emerged, where even famous people like Claudia Shiffer and Sylvester Stallone like to spend time.

 

According to tradition, a fortification was built in 1442 on the island of Sveti Stefan and in that period people settled there. A wall was built around the fortification in order to protect families from the surrounding places before the Turkish and pirate invasion.

DAY 7 | KOTOR

Located along one of the most beautiful bays in the world is Kotor, a city of famous merchants and sailors, with many stories to tell. The Old Town of Kotor is a well-preserved urbanization typical of the Middle Ages, built between the 12th and 14th centuries. Medieval architecture and numerous cultural heritage monuments have made Kotor a UNESCO "World Heritage and Historical Site". Across the entire city, buildings are crossed by narrow streets and squares. One of these squares is the Cathedral of Saint Trifone (Sveti Trifun), a monument of Roman culture and one of the most recognizable symbols of the city.

16h00 - 17h00 Boat trip to the island of Nossa Senhora das Pedras

 

On this comfortable boat ride, you will enjoy panoramic views from the Bay of Kotor to the island of Nossa Senhora das Pedras, one of the most important places in the bay. It is an artificial island made in the 15th century as a monument to Perast's sailors. Beneath it is 196 shipwrecks sunk by people from Perast while defending Kotor from the Venetian and Ottoman Empire. With its incredible history and spectacular views, we are sure that this is one of the points that you will remember for a long time.

DAY 8 | DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik is a coastal town in Croatia located in the southern tip of Dalmatia, at the tip of the isthmus of the same name. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic Sea, a seaport, and the most important city in Dubrovnik-Neretva County. For its natural and urban beauty, and for what it represents for history, Dubrovnik is known as "the pearl of the Adriatic" and "Slavic Athens", due to its ancient inhabitants distinguishing it as unique in a region where barbarism prevailed and for having it great figures of the humanities and the arts proliferated.

The Pelješac Peninsula has been known as an excellent wine-producing region since Ancient Greece, with the most famous wines being Dingač and Postup (made from the Plavac Mali grape, endemic to the region). The grapes are grown under extreme conditions on steep hills, between the mountain and the sea, causing them to receive the so-called "triple sunstroke" - first, directly from the sun; second, the sun's rays reflected from the sea; third, the sun's rays reflected from the mountain's white rocks. That is why they say that Dingač is a wine of the sun and stone, with strong and concentrated fruit aromas.
